Assistant Conductor - Foo Cheong Lin

Foo Cheong Lin was a former member of the Poi Lam high School Band. During his school years, he was the most aggressive committee member and also active in state performances including the Pen-Malaysia band tour and the National Day Celebration Marching Competition.

Foo has established his career as a band teacher for many years since graduated from high school. Upon graduation, he joined the Yamaha Music Malaysia as his career and he gained lots of experiences during his working period. Ever since then, he has been promoting cultural awareness and music appreciation to the general public by organising concerts and music events.

Foo has played with many community orchestra and symphonic band. Among of them, there are the Kuala Lumpur Symphony Orchestra and the Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur Symphony Orchestra. In addition, he was represented by the Perak State participating music camp several times organised by the Ministry of Cultural and Tourism in Kuala Lumpur. Currently he is the band instructor at the Pot Lam High School in Perak.
