Message from YAB Menteri Besar Perak

I am very happy to be invited to give this message in conjunction with the maiden concert of the Ipoh Symphonic Band ( ISB ).We are all aware that music is very important to us. 

The formation of the band will be able to educate those who are interested in participating in symphonic music. The new generation today is highly influenced by the activities, which do not give any benefits to them. I hope the long term objective of the band will play an important role in helping and giving the opportunity to the public to join the band activities rather than spending their time in immoral and negative activities.

Meanwhile, I anticipate that the band will be able to increase the accessibility of symphonic music to the public and will improve the standard and execution of the performing music industry not only in Ipoh City but also in every corner of this country. I do hope that the band will collaborate with the various State Government departments and related local authorities in order to achieve a musically vibrant State.

Last but not least, I would like to congratulate all the people who have come forward to form the band. I wish them all the best in their undertaking and that The Ipoh Symphonic Band will take great strides towards success and be the pride of Ipoh City and Perak as a whole.
