are pages on the internet that has lyrics for compositions of trinity,
Purandara Dasa, Mysore Vasudevachariyar et al., (Please follow links contained
in Mohan's Carnatic Corner.
Hence I am not attempting to provide them here. There is a page that contains
lyrics for pApanAsam
sivan's compositions. This file is in pdf format and one would require
acrobat reader in addition to downloading the file to ones local machine.
No doubt, that the collection is comprehensive. However, only a handful
of songs are "popular" and are sung regularly in concerts. I have provided
lyrics for those "popular" songs here.
In addition,
I am providing lyrics for some of my favorite songs in tamil that are often
sung in carnatic music concerts. For those of you who want to read it in
tamil you should install anjal fonts. You may want to visit http://www.murasu.com/
and install anjal fonts before viewing these in tamil. Others can read
the transliterated version that follows the lyrics in tamil in the same
