+ Historic builder with no known issued Opus List. List continues to be developed through research.
* List covers complete term of operation but has ommisions.
** Entries believed to include all Theater organs by builder. If other organs were constructed they most likely are not listed.
# List Complete for Murray Harris (1887-1903) and Los Angeles Art (1904-05), partial listing for Murray M. Harris (1906-1912) & nearly complete for Robert Morton (1917-1933). Listings for California are mostly limited to Theater Organs. Listings for Electrolian (1905/06) & Johston (1913/15) are very incomplete.
## Hutchings Companies (JW Willcox, Hutchings Plaisted, Geo S. Hutchings, Hutchings-Votey, and Hutching Organ Co (1869-1917) nearly complete to #1530. After c.1903 and numbering change to 1500 series, listing is much less complete.
### AB Felgemaker list does not identify individual "Portables" although these units were given Opus No's. There were about 350 of these small organs between 1866 and 1877.
NOTE: Special thanks to the Austin, Reuter, Lewis & Hitchcock, Schlicker, and George Bozeman firms for supplying their company lists and to Stephen L. Pinel and Elizabeth T. Schmitt of the OHS.
