There is hardly a time in my early life that I remember without the piano. It was always there and an important part of my daily life. I studied piano at the conservatorium with Benno Pierweijer. Under the guidance of Robijn Tilanus, author of Kwintessens, I have continued studying the piano. Last year I attended one of her workshops for piano-teachers about improvising and integrating harmony in the piano lesson. Basic not-reading skills are nice, but can be built up from the beginning. Usually one lesson a week is appropriate.
