The Rock River Celtic Society is new organization, dedicated to promote and celebrate the cultural heritage of the celtic people. We welcome everyone who shares our purpose regardless of heritage. Rock River Valley Celtic Society will have a new meeting time and date, 6:30p.m. on the 2nd Thursday of the month at the Tin Whistle,1414 N. Main. Benefits of joining the Society will be negotiated discounts for our members at some local events plus you will get in on the fun of sponsoring concerts! Announcements of events, discounts and news will be published monthly and mailed to your house or you can check here for late changing events. Call 963-0270 for info.

HEAR YE HEAR YE! THE CITY OF ROCKFORD PIPE BAND. Our practices are held at the Riverside Community Church on North Second St., at 7pm on Sundays. The City of Rockford School of Piping & Drumming is in the works, for a reasonable one time fee, you can get unlimited tutoring and lessons for the Highland Pipes, as well as Highland Drumming. Look for details sometime this fall, as far as price and start date or just general info. Join us for a good time. Contact Bob Gough @ 398-7796.
