Procedure to clean your machine of Oracle Products
WARNING: This process will remove registry entries for ALL ORACLE PRODUCTS. This procedure will remove oracle from your system and will disable other ORACLE products.
on Windows NT:
- Open regedit; go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE node.
- Delete the ORACLE key.
- Delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE|odbc
- Click onto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services. Remove all keys under this branch that begin with 'Oracle'.
- Click onto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\EventLog\Application. Remove all keys under this branch that begin with 'Oracle'.
- close regedit.
- From the Control Panel, open System.
- Remove the %ORACLE_HOME% path and JRE path. For example, you may see a similar path entry like i:\oracle\ora81\p2kcust\bin;G:\Program Files\Oracle\jre1.1.6.2o\bin;
- Reboot your machine.
- From Windows Explorer or a dos shell, delete your Oracle directory(Oracle Base).
- Delete :\Program Files\Oracle.
- Delete icons from :\Winnt\Profiles\All Users\Start Menu\Oracle - and :\winnt\Profiles\All Users\Start Menu\Oracle Installation Products, where is the previous HOME name.
