When a Saiyan goes Super Saiyan this means he got real mad suddenly and had a big rush of Energy. Like Goku against Freeza. Later on you can control whether or not you want to go Super saiyan against a enemy.

This saiyan had a sudden burst of energy and pushed him over the limit. His muscle mass increases ALOT and his hair turns Gold. His eyes even turn Blue too. His power Level increases alot and is hard to control. Goku was the first to go Super Saiyan.

Well this stage increases muscle mass as well as the first stage. But whats different in this stage the Saiyans Gold hair gets a little longer. His eyes still remain Blue and his power Level goes even higher then SSJ. Gohan was the First to Go SSJ2.

Your hair turns REALLY long. I mean it comes down past your knee! You look more mean and tough. Your muscle mass builds a lot more then usual. you lose your eye brows(for some reason). Your hair still stays Gold, and Goku is the first character to go Super Saiyan 3.

Big changes happen in this stage. Your muscle Grow ALOT more then even SSJ3. Your hair turns usually black but it varies, And you grow a tail. This tail helps you transform into a Gold Oozaru. Your power Level is Ridiculously high and really no one can beat you. Goku first did this against the Shenlong.
