I must give most of the credit to the creation of "The Gospel Truth" to an old friend of mine named Dave Haworth. He is a fine keyboard player who I worked with at Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio. Dave liked music in the style of Richard Tee, and showed me a two-bar motif he invented using that style of playing. I took his idea, improvised on it, added a bridge section, a Coda, and "The Gospel Truth" was born!
