National Softball Trophy 2001

Many thanks to everyone for making it out on Saturday. It was a great effort and even if we didn't win a game we played some good softball. Bowne Braves were the only minor team there (Oracle Orbits, Usual Suspects and Oddsox Gold are all Senior). So we held our own when you take that into consideration. It was an enjoyable day and it was great that we could make up the team so we could take part.
Hazel went out on Sunday and played a couple of games with the Galway Hookers (pictured below). They made it to the final of the Bowl but were beaten by the AIB Loan Homers. The Oddsox Gold, who thrashed us on Saturday, came runners-up in the Plate and Marley Martyrs beat Batpack in the final of the Cup.
Frank (Galway Hookers) had his camera's memory deleted on Saturday night so our team pictures are gone (high-tech, how are ye!). Displayed are some pictures remaining from Saturday night along with some of the Plate final, Home Loaners versus Galway Hookers.

Saturday night's après-match seisiún was in O'Reilly's in Tara Street. Most of the Braves managed to make it, joining the Usual Suspects, Galway Hookers and some guests from Cork--a great time was had by all! These pix are are about all that are suitable for public viewing...
