Great Concert with Chi-Canta in Ayr Ann Miller, the Musical Director of Vocal Group Chi-Canta organised a joint concert with the band in Castlehill Church in Ayr on Friday 30th May, in aid of the band’s New Instrument Fund and Scottish Children’s Hospices. A good sized audience thoroughly enjoyed a real variety of music on the night and considered the evening to be a great success. In the absence of Bert Ritchie, we were delighted that Donald Reid welcomed the guests to the concert and gave a hearty vote of thanks at the end (we always knew there must be a purpose for Donald, in spite of what his wife says)! Our very sincere thanks to Ann for organising the concert and for the continued support for the band. Ann is a Patron and recently registered her company ( Treetops Nursery ) as a Business Patron as well. It’s great that we could help raise a few hundred pounds to go to Scottish Children’s Hospices ! |
