Gordon Cree … Fantastic Entertainer ! Over 140 Patrons had a wonderful night at our Mid Season Concert in Dalmellington on Sunday 15th June. We had the Junior Band, conducted by Ian Taylor, the Senior Band, conducted by Archie Hutchison and our guest Gordon Cree who gave us superb entertainment by singing, telling jokes, playing the xylophone and playing the saw! Gordon was accompanied on piano by the extremely talented Alan Kitchen. Many of our Patrons felt that they had attended one of our best ever concerts in Dalmellington and would love to have Gordon back again in the future ….. our sentiments entirely, and that will certainly happen soon! As always we had teas and home baking and a bumper raffle, providing funds for our New Instrument Fund. So, our very sincere thanks to everyone who donated home baking and raffle prizes and to the Patrons who made up our largest ever Mid Season audience …. and to Gordon Cree for being FANTASTIC ! |
