Where does the Fulham Brass Band meet to play?
(serving Central London communities with music since 1895)
The Fulham Brass Band has recently moved and now rehearses (on Thursday evenings between 7.30pm & 10pm) at the The Royal British Legion Club, 247-249 New Kings Road, Fulham, London SW6 4XG. Nearest tube station is Parsons Green (on the District Line). Click for link to a map of the area. Cheap bar on site at the British Legion Club after Rehearsals!
Directions to British Legion Club (Parsons Green)
Turn right out of Parsons Green underground station onto Parsons Green Lane. When you reach the junction of Parsons Green Lane and New Kings Road &/or Kings Road, the club is located directly opposite and practically next door to the Duke of Cumberland Pub.. Free on-street parking is usually available in the locality after hours. Buses (Route No.22) from Central London via Chelsea to Putney Heath run frequently along Kings Road & New Kings Road.
Vacancies & Visitors
The Band are an extremely friendly bunch of people and are always happy to welcome Visitors at Thursday rehearsals, be they non-players (hirers for gigs or otherwise) or players from bands elsewhere who simply want to come along for a blow whilst in the area. We currently have a few key vacancies waiting to filled and one or two instruments for those new members who do not have their own available currently. Please contact the Band Secretary immediately if you are interested in either booking or finding out more about opportunities for playing with the Band.
Brass Ramblers
A smaller ensemble ("the Brass Ramblers") of up to 10 players entertain passers by (patients, staff & hospital visitors) in the foyer at Charing Cross Hospital, Fulham Palace Road, London SW6 on some Tuesday evenings between 7.45pm and 9pm raising money for Cancer Research UK.
