We started the climb to Kalla Patar on the same day. After climbing a bit,
Mount everest is seen (the black in the middle) as well as the Khumbu glacier.
Mount Everest and the Khumbu glacier. It is the first part of the climb
from base camp to camp 2 and it takes 11 rope ladders to climb it.
One deserves a good hug after attaining this breathtaking (literally) peek.
Checking my GPS... I'm there. Note the elevation; I couldn't hardly believe
it, until the headache set in.
Small boots that have come a long way. The right pair of boots was blue
before the trip started...
Descending Kalla Patar during the sun-set. Only Nuptse, Everest (in the
middle) and Lohtse remain lit. Although Everest is the highest, the other
moutons are closer and therefore seem to be higher.
Finally the optical illusion is shattered. Only Everest remains lit.
