My Maestro Will Go On
Inspired by PCO conductor, Adam Crane
Everynight at orchestra, our maestro will stop
Make us play it over, from the top.
Far across the measures, and fermatas forever,
I hope my maestro goes on
Sharp, flat, wherever pitch is at
I just hope that my maestro goes on
Once more, play that measure over
Until we get the tounging,
Notes, dynamics, rhythm and pitch right.
To get it right one time, we rehearse it for a lifetime
And 'til then he won't let us go.
Our maestro always nags us about pitch
First it's too high, then it's too low
Sharp, flat, wherever pitch is at
I just hope that my maestro goes on
Once more, play that measure over
Until we get the tounging,
Notes, dynamics, rhythm and pitch right.
With him here, there's nothing I fear
Except not finishing this piece tonight
We'll play forever this way
Until our maestro learns to
Not stop and to go on.
