Music

Woman playing a lute

We are the music makers and we are the dreamers of dreams ... William E. Shaunessey

Music has played a major role in mankind's history since ... well, since pre-history!

Think of the many cultural and sociological roles music plays. Music is an important part of weddings and funerals; religious worship is incomplete without sacred hymns; most couples have a song that they designate as "our song" that holds special sentimental value; and our heroes and heroines are immortalized in song.

And the musicmakers? Ahhh, the musicmakers. Bards, composers, and minstrels. Admired, jealously guarded, and, yes, sometimes even feared.

To all of the musicmakers, past and present, this page is dedicated.
