West Blockhouse
Reviews:
(Provided by John Kennard ) - The
way that it perches on the edge of the cliffs at the bottom of a hill makes
the blockhouse a very secluded fortification, with a very quiet and clean beach
just a short walk away. That not withstanding, it's not too far from civilization
(and Tesco's). The drawbridge makes a nice feature (excellent for ambushing
returning wanderers), but could be dangerous for children. All in all, a fascinating
place, especially for those of a military bent, and in a perfectly lovely location.
We had the best holiday ever!
