Swiss Cottage

Reviews:

- P&S: It has what so often makes a great 'landmark' - Position. A matchless view and very secluded and private. My favourite part of every day was returning to the cottage to see the wildlife scatter as we opened the gate and the view unfold as we descended the path in evening light. Waking up was pretty good too. And to cap it all we saw Otters in the Tamar (several!).

- RJ: The mists which swirl in the steep valley below give a truly Alpine effect to the situation of the Swiss Cottage: an uncanny illusion. The bark with which this cottage orne is ornamented is home to hoards of wildlife - mice and bats mostly. I find this charming though some squeamish individuals will doubtless rule it out as a result. If you site on the balcony at dusk or dawn as the bats are going out or coming home after a good feed in the river mists you will see dozens, mostly fellow residents. The little mice scurry at night if you listen. Delightful!
