Simo Lazarov (Ph.D. in computer music) is an electronic music composer and performer. He is the founder and main propagator of electronic and computer music activity in Bulgaria. Along with a group of enthusiastic friends, he started concertizing live electronic music from 1973 on around the country. He founded the first Electronic music studio in Bulgaria at the Sofia National Radio in 1974.

His interest in music technology took him to the Technical Universities in Prague and Sofia. He was on an electronic music specialization courses at several European studios .

Since 1977 he has been a lecturer of sound engineering and electronic music at the Music Academy, Technical University, Sofia's University and the New Bulgarian University in Sofia. Simo Lazarov has been invited to numerous electronic and computer music competitions and festivals in Italy, Germany, France,Finland, Israel, USA, Japan, and Austria.
