The Hanging Garden Society of Paranormal Research was formed in 1997 in Spokane, Washington. Since that time, membership has grown to almost 75 people nationwide.

The goal of our group is to engage in serious investigations of paranormal activity, in the hopes of gathering tangible evidence of the existence of "life after death" as they say. We do not use witchcraft, Ouija boards, crystals, or "channeling" as these things are rather intangible in and of themselves and make it difficult to gather good evidence.

Of course, people with a personal interest in such things are still most welcome to join.

You could say we're a skeptical group in the true sense of the word. We're not afraid to use the word "hoax", but we're not afraid to say "Whoa! This is haunted", either. I guess you could say we're not as gullible as the folks at "Sightings", and we're not outright cynical like the folks at "The Skeptical Inquirer"
