There are few rules governing one's conduct on the list. Mostly because I don't like telling people how to act. However, the rules I have are important. Here's a run-down...

The list is open to anyone, of course. And though the primary topic is ghosts and hauntings, there's no rule against anyone posting stuff about UFO's, bigfoot, or whatever else tickles their fancy. Anything "paranormal" is fine.

As for "off-topic" posts, there's no real rule about that either. If it gets excessive, to the point where people are talking about everything but ghosts, etc, then I'll say something. That really doesn't seem likely, though, so I guess I'll cross that bridge if I ever come to it, so to speak.

One thing, however, that is not allowed is flaming another poster, for any reason. If people wish to argue, then feel free to take it to private e-mail. Debate is fine, as long as it is kept courteous and mostly good-natured. A debate presents you with the perfect opportunity to learn about another person's point of view, an all-out fight presents both parties with the perfect opportunity to be removed from the list. ;^)

As for cursing, I'd ask that all listmembers keep it to a minimum. After all, it really doesn't add anything to a conversation.

Posting stories is fine, too. As long as they are true stories. No fictional material, please. If there's a demand for it, I will set up a second list exclusively for original fiction. Also, please do not post copyrighted material to the list until I can check on the legalities of it. I don't wish to see any listmembers taken to court, especially when I could get sued as well because I own the list.

I think that about covers it, if you have any comments or questions, don't hesitate to e-mail me!
