You trusted the Naga, creatures of unknown origin and intention. Now that their intention is clear, it is too late for your clansmen in Hiruma Castle. The power of the Shadowlands will overwhelm them in an amusing case of history repeating itself. Then, your numbers completed, all things foul and terrible will spill over the Kaiu Walls and claim Rokugan as their own.

You thought once to join the Shadowlands, under Kuni Yori's direction. Kuni Yori was a visionary, unlike Hida Yakamo, a man who's pathetic hold on the past has doomed you all. There will be no salvation for those unable to save themselves. Our operatives will cut your supply lines, and welcome our shadow brothers into Rokugan, pillaging and burning. But, for all of the Hida, I have but three simple words to say to you:

You have failed.
