Our Stars and Stripes

Our stars and stripes are more than just... A pretty flag today
... They symbolize the faith and strength... Of our great
U.S.A....They are the banner that proclaims... The free-
dom of our land... With justice and equality... And
truth on every hand... From Tripoli to Tokyo... From
Yorktown to Berlin... Our standard has inspired us ... To
lead the way and win... It is a flag made sacred by ... The
blood of countless men .... Who died for liberty and who...
Would do the same again... Let us protect our heritage
...With every firm endeavor... God bless Old Glory on this
day... Our stars and stripes forever.

Our Great America

What is America today?...A nation great and strong?...Yes,
it is that but so much more... It is a wonderous song... A song
of happiness and love... And children's laughter loud... And
all the worthwhile things that would ... Make anybody proud...
It is the land of freedom for ... All citizens to share... With
equal opportunities... And safeguards everywhere... It is the
country schoolhouse and... The happy, peaceful farm... And
brotherly protection when... There is the least alarm...America
is freedom true... In thought and word and deed... With loving
care for anyone... Who is in desperate need.

Our Flag of Faith

Old Glory flies throughout the world... By land and air and sea
... To guard the freedom that is ours... From every enemy...
Our soldiers stand on distant shores... Our planes patrol the skies
... And our great ships explore the waves... In search of foreign
spies... We pledge allegiance to our flag... With hand and
heart sincere... And bind our conscience to preserve... The
peace we hold so dear... From every mast our stars and stripes
... Proclaim our faith and pride... And symbolize the victories
... Of those who fought and died... May God be always with
us, to ... Protect our banner bright... And help us keep our
courage in... The struggle that is right.

Our Tears and Thanks

The bugle leaves a soldier's lips... The echo fades away... All
heads are bowed in silence as ... We meditate and pray... The
Stars and Stripes are lowered now... By hands that reverently
... Salute our sons who fought and died ... for peace and lib-
erty ... We contemplate the courage true ... Of those who gave
their all ... As we ask God to cover them ... With His protective
shawl ... And we give thanks to everyone ... Who wore a uni-
form ... All veterans of every war ... Who did their best
to strive ... For justice and equality ... To keep the world alive.

He hoped for peace

If Linclon were our president... In this new age and day...I
wonder what dear Abraham...Would be inclined to say...I
think that tears would fill his eyes... For he would be so sad...
To see the turmoil of a few... That makes all people mad...
I think when his decree went forth... He meant it not to be...
For every issue to be solved... So swiftly, suddenly... He must
have prayed for tolerance... And patience on each side... To
sensibly deliberate...And take eachstep in stride... If he had
known what was to come...It would have grieved his heart...
That victory could only mean... Another war would start.
