†After knocking and waiting at the front door, your bravery strikes you, and you slowly push it open and walk through. In bewildering awe, you stand and stare at the place around you. It is tastefully, but lightly decorated. It is ancient looking, with older furniture but still in style. Before you is a winding staircase up into darkness. A few paintings are at your right and to your left is an open room. The place itself is dimly lit, the only source of light is the few lit candles hanging over your head. The windows in the room are covered by dark curtains, making you wonder why the place is kept so dark, surely not a good place for painting.†
†Moving towards a painting, with a window by its side, you inspect its beauty. The painting itself is magnificantly done, with lushious, bright colours. Curiously, you wonder if this is a painting done by the person that lives in the house, or merely just a collection. As you look it over, you decide it must be done by the owner of the house, for a painting of this wonder would surely be famous. You smile sightly, thinking to yourself how much money this painting would be worth, seeing you know your eyes are probably but of few that have viewed it. As you draw your attention from the painting, you peel back the black curtain to look outside.†
†Drawing in a breath, you realize how quickly it got dark outside. This puzzles you for a moment, for you know when you entered the house, the sun was still just beginning to set. You wonder just how long you have been staring at your surroundings within the house. With a shock of fright, you feel eyes upon you. Twisting your body around, you look into nothing but the shadows. Finally getting a hold of yourself, you move towards the doorway ready to leave the place, feeling too much fright to stay. As your hand slides over the handle, the floor above your creeks with movement. A shiver dance through your body as curiousity grips you once more. Slowly you turn, looking around the room, trying to ignore the steps over your head. You now must ask yourself, where do you want to go?†
