A Remarkable Steinway 'O'
The superlatives above don't begin to describe this extraordinary piano. I have no idea why this piano hasn't been sold yet, as it happened to be one of the best pianos on the tour in terms of tone and touch. It's another one of those wonderful Steinway "O"s, but this time with a bit brighter tone, just a bit. It was wonderfully rebuilt as well. This one is a piece of history. It appeared at the New York World's Fair in 1939 but by its serial number, was originally made back in 1912. It's probably the only one footed grand piano in existence. It belongs with someone who can really appreciate it. Like many of the interesting and outstanding instruments available at Beethoven Pianos, this piano has a story and is in some sense a museum piece, but these are all real remarkable pianos as well. This one is deserving of a great home.
