1987-1998	*Bibliographer for Foreign Languages and Literatures* University of Maryland Libraries, College Park, MD 20742-7011 Collection Management & Special Collections Division. Responsibilities: management of the western European languages collections (French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Germanic); Classical Studies, Latin American Studies and Linguistics, in print, serial and electronic formats. From 1990-1995 duties included Judaica, Archaeology, and Slavic languages. Duties: assessment of the collections using AMIGOS and other bibliographic tools; writing policies; identifying materials for preservation treatment; monitoring fund lines, approval plans, and other selectors; making sure that the collection supports the teaching and research needs of a very diverse faculty and students; member of library instruction team.

1985-1987	*Collection Development Librarian* Alabama State University Library, Montgomery, Alabama, 36195 Responsibilities: coordinated the acquisition of monographs and serials in all subject areas; reviewed and approved faculty selections; analyzed the collections in cooperation with the Network of Alabama Academic Libraries using an adapted form of the RLG Conspectus. Wrote a collection development policy for the general collections establishing development guidelines. Assisted in the preparation of budgets and helped with reference desk assistance.
1977-1985	Library Assistant -- Humanities and Information Dept., Auburn University Libraries, Auburn, Alabama 36849. Responsibilities: assisted with reference and information services, compiled bibliographies, conducted bibliographic searches, supervised student assistants, compiled an online list of serials and edited a bibliography of literary criticism. Assisted with the selection of foreign language materials in literature, art, philosophy, and religion. Leave of absence granted to go to library school 1982-1983.
1982-1983	Graduate Assistant -- Physics & Astronomy Library, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Helped to edit the electronic Union List of Serials; assisted with reference services.
