Bob Thyrring was my very capable host on a tour of one of the finest piano stores in the New York Capital District (Albany, Schenectedy, Troy) specializing in pianos made in Japan and Korea. I was as usual looking for the best and most unusual in pianos and was able to find a few here.

This store had above average preparation of its pianos, advised me ahead of time which pianos were in preparation and which were not, indicating that every piano goes through a rigorous check out before it's offered for sale.

Besides new Asian pianos, this store routinely offers classic pianos for sale as is or for rebuilding. This side of their business was not of much concern to me on this visit, however I was told that they often ran across old classics and that anyone interested should call them from time to time, let them know what you might be looking for and when it becomes available they would let you know.
