 Talent Showcase
The online magazine for Y! GeoCities Vienna - February/March 2000

new music
For those who would like to listen to some Real Audio while visiting Vienna Online, we present CL Florian's "Classical Surfing Music." The first installment is the third movement of the Quintet in G major by Luigi Boccherini, entitled Grazioso. The Italian composer Boccherini (1743-1805) was best known for his chamber music (he wrote mainly quintets, quartets, and trios), but he was also a cellist virtuoso.

The Quintet for Flute and Strings is performed by the Quintetto Tourte. Our featured artist is the Italian Flutist Nicola Guidetti. Visit Nicola at his beautiful website. The site is represented by the same professionalism as his musicianship. Nicola's studies and performance activities have sent him around the world. The critics hail him as a flute player of uncommon musical talent and as a total artist. Nicola lives currently in Italy and teaches flute at the Conservatory of Como. He has recorded many commercial albums for well-known labels. We are proud to have Nicola Guidetti as a Geocitizen of Vienna!
