An empty money holder!
It was a casual Thursday morning. I decided to take the day off to play golf with 3 of my friends. We decided to pair up and played as team. Of course I ended up with Phong. He has a lot of potential to become a good golfer but right now…he is still a rookie on the Asian tour. The other two guys…let just called them….Hustler #1 and Hustler #2, they gave Phong a stroke on each holes except for the par 3's. OK…time out! I realized that it was a sucker deal for me…because Phong was going to be shooting a lot of double and maybe triple double on this course and one stroke was not going to help us. But somehow….the Hustlers convinced me to except the DEAL.
As the match went on….it was mostly down hill for us. The Hustlers were playing really well together. Hustler #1, which game was on a major slump for the past few years and so he said….wanted to add a side bet with me….somehow…I AGREED. Then Hustler #2, which just had his 1st child also wanted a side bet…somehow…I AGREED.
In conclusion, when I got home that day….I was cleaning out my golf bag and realized that my money holder which was full of money that same morning was now….EMPTY!
I sat down and calculated the odd of beating these two guys….and it didn't look too good at all. I lost from the time I agreed with their little deal. The lesson to be learn in this entire ordeal is that…never…ever….play against two veteran hustlers on an unknown course.
