ELECTROCHEMICAL STUDIES ON THE BEHAVIOUR OF CERTAIN TRANSITION METAL IONS AND THEIR COMPLEXES WITH MACROCYCLIC COMPOUNDS IN MIXED SOLVENTS.

·       Electrochemical studies of metal ions and their macrocyclic complexes in non-aqueous, partially aqueous, and surfactant
     media.

·       Fabrication of Chemically Modified Electrodes based on macrocyclic compounds and development of methods for trace analysis of metal ions,
      and vitamins in alcoholic beverages, effluents, food and pharmaceuticals.

·       Fabrication of Ion Selective Electrodes based on macrocyclic compounds for metal analysis in electroplating bath solutions.

·       Development of methods for electroanalysis of vitamins (ascorbic acid, riboflavin, menadione and tocopherol) in surfactant media.

·   Electrochemical and spectroscopic studies of acid-base properties in surfactant media.

·     Synthesis of aza crown ethers and calixarenes.

·      Formulations for electroplating / electroless plating, metallurgical microscopy.

·      Electrochemistry of organic molecules at single crystal gold electrodes, self- assembly, etc.

 ·   Fluorescence & UV spectroscopy of cyclodextrin – purine / pyrimidine complexes.

 ·    Biosensors for amino acids based on macrocyclic compounds in thin film / conducting polymer matrices.

·  Electrochemical sensing and imaging of ‘reactive oxygen species’, Oxygen microscopy, Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy.

·  Photochemistry and electrochemistry of sensitizer dye molecules.

·  Covalent grafting of molecules on carbon and metallic surfaces and characterization of such films.

·  Electro-initiated emulsion polymerization on metal surfaces.

·   Synthesis and characterization of biopolymers / hydrogels – conducting polymer composites. Chemical / photochemical polymerization.

·  Synthesis of mixed oxide / phosphate, organometallic electrocatalysts for water electrolysis & proton reduction.

·  Synthesis, characterization Li ion battery materials (mixed transition metal oxides with Lithium) and testing the Li ion cells.

·  Dye sensitized solar cells.
