It was time of classical Doom/Death Metal sounding without shit, NWOBHM influences and using computer effect plague. In such good time the Acrostichon was born.
The music on this release is Doom Metal rooted Death Metal. There is only one band Bolt Thrower that has on "IV Crusader" a sound that being mixing with late "technical" Death's era (ex: Symbolic-1995) slightly remains Acrostichon's "Engraved in Black". The profound growling also makes a beautiful addition in Doom/Death Atmosphere.
