"Sventevith (Storming Near The Baltic)"
1995
An early activity of Polish band Behemoth wasn't
successful for them owing to the lack of distinctive sounding. This
album despite its Black Metal tendency, gives after listening the
feeling of tedium. Even the acoustic guitar parts don't improve the
situation. Nothing but the one thing is really great in this record.
It is drumskit sound which is excellent as well as the drummer. One could
recommend this stuff to all drummers who want to achieve perfection.

"Grom"
1996
While the next year had been lasting Behemoth evolved from the usual
metal band to an exciting hybrid of Black and Death Metal with tinges
of classical Heavy Metal guitars solos. The production is really
outstanding. The brutality and the aggression achieve a good level.
The general level of songwriting has improved from
uninteresting riffage performed on previous album.
There is even a very nice including of the female vocals.
Anyway, one may say
simply that this record is advised to listen.
P.S. "Grom" seems to be interpreted as "Thunder".
