Here the "Pure Holocaust" is coming... It is Immortal that brings to us this embodiment with its great work performed by "two brothers" of DOOM OCCULTA called themselves Demonaz and Abbath.
This is pure Black Metal being not deprived pleasing melodiousness. This is a fierce, ambient and griping symphony. This is music belonged to that clone of this genre that usually is pronounced with a prefix "true". The all sound has clear coupling at the beginning of opener "Unsilent Storms In The North Abyss" and remains that same during all record due to the beautiful mixing at the studio (The excellent drum-work was recorded by Abbath himself with Eric's help in studio mixing).. The blazing speed of guitar riffs being played as fast as it'd been possible create the might coming from the heart of the North. Dirty vocals of Abbath that remind one of more early Quorthon's one but more abominable, are perceived like sinister whisper. This fact doesn't spoil the music, it brings the loud deeper, conversely. Multi-layered sound is arranged to the backdrop of a cascading drum-scape. All the blast bass drum beats and high tone beats are made with an impressive accuracy. This

made the best of Immortal's record that I've heard. An aggregate sound of all instruments is being heard like a symphonic orchestra. If you put this CD in your CD-player the music would seize you until album could be accomplished. The playing time of this record (appr. 33min.) isn't too long to be sufficient for seldom listening it.
The severe black'n'white cover interlaced with raging violent sound produce the atmosphere condemning to the death... There is no future for life... In to damnation all will fall... All world will be doomed... It's coming the PURE HOLOCAUST.
