| What Does the South Brunswick Community mean to me?
By: Kwame Amoako-Poku Community - what does this word really mean? Love, friendship, or is it a group of people lending a hand? All these words say a lot about community, but what does community really mean to me? Many people live in communities such as schools and townships. To me a community means family, friends, and people who care for you. People who lend a hand when you are down or friends who never let you feel lower than anybody else or less smart. A community stands strong in a life struggle, they care for one another, they cry for one another. They stay tough when there together as one, and they can accomplish anything when they work as one. When your day feels like a dark, stormy night your community is there to make the rest of your day a sunny, blue sky. When I am in my community I feel I am in a beautiful world, where all the neighbors are caring, helpful individuals. Reliable friends are around every corner when you come to the South Brunswick community. Our community has a whole bunch of parents and kids who volunteer to help the poor, feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, visit the old and sick, and also clothe the naked. Our neighborhood looks out for everybody in the community and always welcome the newcomer who joins our community. We always do our best to make our community a happy and safe place to be apart of. Our family is also a drug-free zone where our youth will not be influenced by drugs and other hazren influence. So when you think of what community means just remember these three words: friends, families, and hope for a great life. |
