The city is also sometimes called Karnavati , an older name and as Amdavad in colloquial Gujarati . Ahmedabad is the administrative center of Ahmedabad District , and was the former capital of Gujarat State from 1960 to 1970 , when Gandhinagar replaced it. Still from my point of view ,Heaven City is Ahmedabad .

The city has been now included in the metro cities of the India. There has been immense development of this city over last few years. And all the credit for such a great development both economically and structurally goes to the honourable chief minister of Gujarat Mr Narendra Modi. The city was founded in the 15th century by Sultan Ahmed Shah on the Sabarmati river. The historic center of Ahmedabad is presently a thriving business district. Ahmedabad is mainly divided in two parts, the old city, and new city. The old city has developed rather haphazardly, and most of the roads are narrow and crowded during business hours. The new city has well-structured, wide roads. A wide variety of shops and businesses exist in the city. All high rises,  super markets , multiplex cinema , parks etc are developed at this new city.

Ahmedabad is coming Top in Asia for providing Management studies. We have Indian Institute of Management ( IIM) which is providing MBA degrees to the studies and studies who have studied in IIM are extra ordinary.

We have good english medium school one of the example is Firdaus Amrut Higher Secondary School , located at cantonment area of shahibaug. This the the school where i have completed my higher secondary education with 80%.

There few really very good colleges which provides education for graduation degree for Gujarat University. One of which is Navgujarat college, Navarangpura. I finished my graduation from here with distinction.

This is all what my Heaven city has given me and so i will always consider it as heaven of the world.

In addition to its role as a commercial center, Ahmedabad is also an important industrial center, with chemical and textile industries. Ahmedabad is often described as the Manchester of the East, because of its once-booming textile industry. Ahmedabad is a very beautiful city.
