Shenlon floats above everyone in the blue sky... Bulma thinks that the return of Shenlon is a good thing, but something is strange, the sky has not darkened. Gohan notices it too, this time it all seems different. Shenlon tell Goku to wake up, and Shenlon's eyes glow... Goku's body glows red, then yellow, and he is restored. Goku gets up, and Chi Chi is glad, then Goku notices Shenlon. He realizes that he finally saved everyone. Shenlon asks them if they know why the Evil Dragons appeared... Goku says yes, and Shenlon goes on to say because Hell and Earth became one and that allowed many to be revived (flash backs to Super 17 Saga). Goku finally learns that this is the reason the Dragon Balls became so strange.

Shenlon continues to say that it was because they became too dependant on the Dragon Balls. He tells them that they've used them too many times, so they are never allowed to use them again. Shenlon continues saying that the Dragon Balls will disappear forever in front of their eyes, along with him... Goku requests one last wish, and Shenlon asks him what it is... Goku tells him that a lot of people died recently and it was because they kept using the Dragon Balls. It is not their fault, so he wishes that everyone on Earth can be revived. He continues saying that he only saved the world with everyone's help, and he believes they will restore the Earth on their own.

Shenlon grants it, saying that this will be the last time, and his eyes glow red... In a wrecked city, people start getting up, wondering what happened... As well as people in a farmland, a snowy place, and red lights appears all over the Earth reviving everyone. Then Gill comes flying in, and Pan runs to hug him. Gill says Pan is dangerous, but he likes Pan. Goku thanks Shenlon, and Shenlon tells him that his wish has been granted, and it's time to go. The others are surprised to hear this. Shenlon lowers his head and tells him to hop on. Goku tells the others that he has to go away for a while, and he jumps onto Shenlon's head. Vegeta comes up and asks if he's going to train, then he realizes something...

Goku motions to him to keep this a secret, and says goodbye to him, then everyone. Shenlon goes up with the Dragon Balls circling Goku. Chi Chi tells Goku to wait, and should at least tell them where he's going, but Shenlon just flies off into the sky. Bulma says goodbye to Goku, and remembers the first time they met (in flash back), then remembers from that start they've experienced many things, and the time has been long. In the desert, Yamcha is working on a car with Puar nearby, and a shadow casts over them. They look up to see Shenlon flying over head. Elsewhere, Tenshinhan (Tien) opens his eyes from meditation, and bursts out of a waterfall. Chaozu is already there, and they both look up to see Shenlon passing them by.

Shenlon bursts above the clouds, and Goku asks if he can visit a few other places. Kamesennin Mutenroshi (Master Roshi), in a black shirt, red bandana, and brown shorts, is looking at, what else, porn. Krillen is alive and says Roshi hasn't changed, still perverted, and Umigame (Sea Turtle) is with them too. Roshi calls him stupid because he brought him the magazine. Roshi looks more and his nose starts bleeding again. Umigame thinks about it and says Krillen has died many times now. Krillen says it's weird for Umigame to still be around, and he tells him that turtles can live for 10,000 years.

Goku lands outside. Krillen tells Umigame that Roshi really likes it (the porn), and Umigame agrees. Then Roshi says "Goku", and Krillen laughs saying Goku can't be here, then he looks and sees him outside (Roshi is already out). Krillen comes out happy to see him again. Goku is happy to see them both, and also Umigame (but gets his name wrong). Roshi notices he's still small, and Goku thinks Roshi hasn't changed either. Krillen thinks it is just like the old days. Krillen picks up a rock and asks Goku if he remembers when they first got accepted as students, that they had to find a rock that has "Turtle" written on it (Krillen skips the rock across the water over the horizon). The one that lost would get no supper, and Goku says that Krillen used a dirty trick to trick him too.

Krillen laughs, and says that Goku looks just like as he did back then. Roshi hasn't changed, so he's (Krillen) the only one that became old, only he has changed. Goku says that they haven't fought for a long time, and wants to right now. Krillen tells him not to play, he can't compete with him now. Goku wants to anyways, Krillen calls him weird and wants him to go easy on him. We see the spar through the reflection in Roshi's sunglasses. Krillen manages to punch Goku away, and Goku tells him he's the same as always, he's really strong. Krillen says that he sometimes practices with #18, but when he looks back, Goku is gone. Roshi thinks to Goku to tell Shenlon "thank you". Goku's footprints on the sand are washed away by the tides.

In Hell, a big monster attacks the Oni (ogre guards) wanting to be released from Hell. Piccolo appears and sets some rules. The monster attacks by breathing fire, but Piccolo just karate chops his head knocking him out. The Oni cheer for him, then Piccolo notices Goku. Goku congratulates him too, and Piccolo asks him why he's here. He gets angry because he worked so hard to get him out of Hell. Goku sticks out his hand, and says he wants to shake hands with him. Piccolo takes his hand, and an energy sparks between them. Piccolo notices something about Goku. Goku tells him that he's helped him so many times, and apologizes for not being able to return the favor. Goku walks behind Piccolo and tells him that he won't ever forget him. Piccolo turns around, but Goku is gone.

(Commercial Break)

Chi Chi yells to Goku asking if he's coming home for dinner, as Shenlon takes Goku away. Chi Chi is a little upset since Goku just left like that, and she thought she would make a big family dinner for everyone tonight. Goten says "father" will return soon just like always, then asks what's for dinner. Chi Chi tells him that she plans to have a Mt. Paozu feast, and Goten yells that it's his favorite. Bulma thinks they should go home too. Ubuu says goodbye, and leaves too. Goten quickly takes Chi Chi away so she can start cooking. Videl goes too (Gill following), and asks her father (Mr. Satan) if he wants to come too, and he accepts.

Pan remains, looking into the sky. Trunks sees this and goes back, and Pan asks him if the Dragon Balls are really gone. Trunks says that from now on, they have to count on themselves and not to rely on others. They will protect this planet on their own, if they succeed the Dragon Balls will come back. Pan agrees, and Trunks leaves. Pan then notices Goku's clothes on the ground. She doesn't understand, she saw Goku and Shenlon go off together... Then she realizes something, and Vegeta tells her to take care of it (the clothes). Vegeta flies off, and Pan cries "grandpa" once again... Shenlon flies above the clouds into the sunset... Goku lies down and thinks Shenlon's back is quite warm... The 7 circling Dragon Balls start entering Goku's body... Then Goku disappears, and Shenlon continues flying.

A stadium roof opens... The announcer announces the finals of another Tenkaichi Budoukai (World Martial Arts Tournament)... A white haired announcer (seems to have the energy and looks of the announcer in DB/Z, so could be decendant) intoduces Goku Jr (acutally Little Goku). (first introduced in GT Special, so this would be at least 100 years into the future) The announcer says that he is the decendant of the hero that also appeared in the Tenkaichi Budoukai, Son Goku (statue there), same name, same face. He also says Goku Jr. is the world savior, Mr. Satan's (he also has a statue), great great grandson.

Pakku and his gang (again appeared in GT special) are shocked to hear this, and asks Grandma Pan if this is true. Pakku goes "no wonder Pan and Goku are so strong", then thinks Pan is... Pan says that's right, she is the great hero Goku's granddaughter. In the ring, Goku Jr thinks to himself that he has to win. A voice says that his clothes are really dirty, and we see a miniature Vegeta stepping into the ring. Goku tells him that it is not dirty, it was the same clothes his ancestor wore so it is just old. Pan notices that the kid looks exactly like Vegeta. Then a Bulma-lookalike (young one, in 20s), and thinks Pan is the mother of the one that's going to face her son, and comments that she's old. Pan gets angry saying that she's not the mother, of course she's old, she's Goku Jr's mother's mother.

Bulma Jr. (unofficial, she's not named, and this is shorter than saying Bulma lookalike or Vegeta lookalike's mom, which means Vegeta Jr is not named either) undertands, and thinks Goku is very unlucky to face her son because her son will win. Then a phone rings, and she answers her video watch. A guy calls to the president that the meeting is about to start and they want her there. Wearing a Capsule Corp earring, she tells him to shut up, and she won't attend any meetings because she's busy. Pan notices, and realizes who she is, Capsule Corp being Bulma's family business, then understands. She thinks this fight will be interesting, and yells to Goku to not hold back.

The monks of the Budoukai start beating their drums... Goku and Vegeta take their stance, and the announcer yells for the match to begin, and the gong is rung. Both disappear from sight, and we only see zips clashing at each other. Then they reappear high up above the ring locked in combat... They punch each other, and the crowd looks at them wide-eyed amazed at their skill... Pan thinks "of course", since it's the fight between the decendants of Goku and Vegeta, even she is excited at this. They land more blows on each other, then land in the ring again.

Vegeta tells Goku that he's stronger than he looked... This is the first time he has to use his full power, and he turns Super Saiya-jin. Goku says he can do it to, and he goes Super Saiya-jin. Vegeta thinks he's not simple, and sees that he knows how to "change their hair gold" too. Goku thinks this match has meaning, and they both being the fight again. Pan with the crowd cheers for the fighters (Pan for Goku of course), then notices Goku (adult Goku) in the stands watching this match. She quickly tries to make her way there, but she loses sight of him. Pan thinks that Grandpa Goku was really here.

(Now Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku starts playing in it's entirety, not just the opening credits version, actually more than that, they repeat one of the verses again. And while playing, they show scenes from DB/Z/GT. Also has Goku walking out of the stadium and the narrator speaks at times... Here it goes... First will be the Japanese lyrics. The italized are the English translation. Followed by the description of the scene from the past that they are showing. You probably have to know about DB, Z, and some of GT to really know what I'm describing, since I'm going to be breif about them.)

Goku is walking away from the stadium, passing people going the other way.

Baby Goku is found by Son Gohan, narrator says Goku brought happiness to everyone.

Bulma is shown shooting Goku back when they first met. Goku finds Umigame, and was surprised he was a turtle not a rock.

Kamesennin Mutenroshi appears on the back of Umigame.

Oolong changes into a big robot holding a bowl of soup and chopsticks.

Yamcha is speeding in the desert on a hover scooter with Puar. Bulma and Oolong see the Ox King. Goku on the Kintoen finds Chi Chi. Pilaf has the Dragon Balls.

Shenlon is summoned. Goku notices the full moon in the metal box with the glass ceiling, and it triggers something.

Oozaru Goku is trashing Pilaf's Palace. Krillen makes his entrance, and lands on his head.

Goku, carrying Krillen finds Lunch (the good one) with police holding her up.

Goku has reached the top of Karin Tower.

Karin is there. Uranai Baba is in a door way.

Uranai Baba comes out and reveals herself.

Yajirobe confronts Goku about eating his fish.

Goku is with Mr. Popo, and Kami is introduced. Androids #17 and #18 are shown. Then Android #16. Dai Kaioushen and Kibit are surprised to find Rou Kaioushen appearing. Goku is shown again walking away from the stadium. DB Goku is shown with a punch that manifest itself as an Oozaru. The punch goes through Piccolo Daimaou. Freeza tightens his grip and Krillen is blown up.

Goku gets real pissed, and his powers start to manifest itself.

Goku turns Super Saiya-jin. Super Saiya-jin Gohan has a one handed Kamehameha and Goku encouraging him from behind.

Cell has his big Kamehameha, and Gohan pushes on his more.

The two big Kamehamehas clash, and Cell is vapourized.

The original Buu is pushing back a huge Genki Dama.

Super Saiya-jin Goku pushes back and Buu is vapourized.

A Kamehameha hits Bebi's spaceship.

Super Saiya-jin 4 Goku pushing Bebi's ship with the Kamehameha.

Until it reaches the sun destroying Bebi. Goku is again seen walking away from the Budoukai Stadium.

Goku is seen arriving at another Budoukai.

It's the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai, and Chi Chi, Krillen, Yamcha, Oolong, and Puar see him. Narrator tells us he's always full of joy, but he's careless. In the scene, Goku says hello.

The others notice him too. Narrator says he's gentle and has a good heart. Goten sees his father for the first time, and they hug.

Scenes from the 28th Tenkaichi Budoukai are shown. Pan feeding the birds, but they cover her.

Goku holds Pan up to meet a man in a bunny costume.

GT Goku has reached the end of his walk.

The Narrator says this is the Goku everyone loves, as Goku looks back.

Goku smiles, flies up and waves good bye.

Goku catches his Nyoibo. The narrator says now the story of the Dragon Balls is over. The Kintoen comes along and takes Goku away.
