Plot Holes, Similarities, and Miscellaneous Information

Episode 1

First thing I guess is that Pilaf, Shu, and Mai are alive. In Z, Buu killed everyone on Earth. The wish they made was only good people are revived. Unless Pilaf was in space at that time, or briefly turned over a new leaf, he shouldn't be alive.

Episode 2

In GT, Goku loving the Earth becomes quite a theme, well, in this episode, there was an exception. The family was talking about going into space, and Goku didn't really care, he just thought the worst case scenario would just have them use the Dragon Balls to teleport everyone off Earth.

Episode 3

The team actually has alien currency. Gemmicks. I guess even Earth is part of the Universal economy to allow their Zennies (money in DB) to be converted... Strange that they don't even space travel... Except for the select few with connections to Capsule Corp.

Episode 4

A small thing is that their reaction time seems very slow... They have the ability to fly, yet they still allow themselves to fall and hit the ground...

Episode 6

They've forgotton the ability to sense Ki. Well... It's just that when they rescued the Queen Bee, they thought it was Pan. Have they forgotton that they can detect Ki, and tell who's ki is who's?

Oh, and this is where they found their first Dragon Ball, so the whole Dragon Balls becoming stone for one year and won't be detected by any Dragon Radar doesn't apply here then.

Episodes 7 and 8

These two episodes are very similar to the first encounter with Oolong in Dragon Ball.

First of all, a village is terrorized by a monster. The team arrives at the village just as they were about to give the monster's demand, a bride. The team also discovers the 6 star ball there, so they offer to get rid of the monster in exchange for it. A plan was hatched up the the dominant female of the team to dress up a male member as a girl to replace the bride. Later it turns out the monster's powers weren't threatening at all, so he was nothing but a con artist.

Believe it or not, this happened in both series.

Zuunama sings the tune to "Here Comes the Bride". An alien society has the same wedding song? Just as nutty as the whole universe speaking Japanese (or whatever language its dubbed into) I guess. lol

When they were tracking Zuunama... Goku took off his clothes so he can jump into a pond... Well, he assumedly took them off so they wouldn't get wet, but he tied them to his head and brought the them with him. Oh well, maybe it was just the excuse to get Goku naked on the show... lol

Again... If you had the ability to levitate/fly... Would earthquakes affect you? lol

Oh one more thing... Near the end of episode 8, Goku used a Kamehameha which accidentally vaporized an entire "firey mountain" (volcano). This would be similar to Roshi in DB accidentally vaporizing the Ox King's mountain away with his Kamehameha.

Episode 9

Guy named Domma in the last 2 episodes, giant worms named Doma in this episode... Wonder why?

Episode 11

Well... Not really plotholes I find here, but a couple of things to mention. Pan finally used Bukuujutsu (the ability to fly) to stop from hitting the ground when falling. Also, Trunks and Goku finally used Pan's ki to track her.

Episode 15

Not really a plot hole, just more giant worms in this episode, like in episode 9 and 10.

Episode 18

In this episode the Energy Cannon Group strikes a pose just before they combined to one, which is reminicient of the Ginyuu Force.

Episode 19

When Rirudo aborbed the parts from the Energy Cannon, it reminded me of the scene in DBZ Movie 7 where 13 absorbed the parts from 14 and 15.

Episode 21

Not a plot hole, but an animation error. After Rirudo turns both Pan and Goku into metal slabs, he brings them back to the tower. Well, then Gill is seen holding the Trunks slab, but it was already sent, and Gill puts it on the teleporter. Then the slab "magically" turns into the Goku one.

Episode 27

Gill the robot blushing! Heh, not much of a plot hole though since it is a cartoon (anime)... lol

Episode 30

I'm just surprised the Suguroku Space didn't realize Suguroku's been cheating that whole time. 2 entered their realm, so ya'd think they'd pay more attention. lol

Episode 35

SSJ4 Goku's pants are a larger version of the ones he wears as a kid, even though it was destroyed when he turned Oozaru...

It's said that Saiya-jins need 17,000z of Brute Rays to turn Oozaru, but in DBZ it was said that 17,000,000 zenos are required... Oh well, could be the same thing still, like metric system with centi-, milli-, kilo-, etc, etc...

Episode 38

The good guys give their energies to Goku to restore his powers. This is perhaps something done in Movie 8, but the way they do it is more like what Bebi did earlier with the Saiya-jins.

Episode 39

When Vegeta returned back to normal from Oozaru, his normal clothes came back. Hmmm.. Perhaps Bebi somehow preserved it?

Bebi being pushed into the sun by a Kamehameha is what happened to Koola in movie 5.

Episode 40

Piccolo still has a wound in the side of his stomach. Though Nameks can regenerate as long as their heads are intact.

Episodes 42-44

The residents of Hell escaping to cause chaos on Earth already happened in Movie 12.

Episode 43

Goku rode Freeza's Kienzan, and grabed a spike and spun it around. A nostalgic showing of what Goku in DB did but with the Kintoen (Nimbus) and the Nyoibo (Magic Staff).

Episodes 46 and 47

In episode 46, Super 17's attacks destroys Goku's shirt. Things happen, Goku goes SSJ4, and in episode 47, when Goku reverts from SSJ4 back into a kid, his clothes are perfect again! SSJ4, the form with its own instant tailor! lol

Episode 47

Goku knows the Ryu Ken Bakuhatasu (Dragon Fist Explosion), which was only used before in Movie 13.

Episode 49

They (Goku and Pan) seem to be able to breathe (and talk or using telepathy) under water.

Episode 60

Vegeta knows the Fusion Dance, but it was only taught to him in Movie 12.

And, when Gogeta fired the Big Bang Kamehameha at Ii Shinlon, all 7 Dragon Balls dropped to the ground, including the one star ball. Later, Ii Shinlon reappears, and he still has the one star ball in his forehead.
