John's Commentary:
"This was our first match against a Division I team this season, as the 49ers were ranked ninth in the South region in Division I. We were ready to play, showing no respect to this travel-weary team, as we played a pretty solid match all around en route to a 25-16, 25-17 win and more importantly winning our first match of the day. Blocking seemed to be key in this match as nothing that the 49ers hit got past us, unless it hit the back wall (without bouncing). Special thanks to the Quality Inn and Suites in College Park for letting us get our money back once we found out the tournament was one day only, since Maryland gave us plenty of notice telling us while we were warming up for our first match of the day. That's some good organization there.
