Boulder Weekly June13-19, 2002. The Colorado University regents met in Aspen to discuss the CU budget. To increase its budget and "remain competitive", CU might want to achieve "enterprise status", which requires that CU should receive no more than 10% of its funding from the state. Hoffman, the CU president, said support for such a move might not be out of question. Currently, 12% of the CU funding is provided by the state; the rest is private funding that will always be tied to what the donor sees as important. |
