Boulder Weekly, Oct 24-30, 2002

On the Nov.5 elections, Coloradan voters will choose to pass or reject Referendum A, which propose to abolish term limits for the District Attornneys (DA). The District Attorneys represent the people in criminal cases. They are currently limited to two consecutive four-year terms. If the measure is nixed, 17 out of Colorado's 22 DA will be out of office in 2004. Some say that it is a waste of experience, others that DA are a smalll group of politicians who think they should have special privileges.
