Episode 12: Zero RyokoWashu, Tenchi, Ayeka, and Ryo-oki follow Zero to find the real Ryoko. They then meet up with Mihoshi who is already in battle with Dr. Clay's ship. Washu heads toward Dr. Clay's domain, while Tenchi, Ayeka, and Mihoshi try to find Ryoko. Washu finds Dr. Clay and goes into battle with him, but Dr. Clay activates the self-destruct button and escapes leaving the gang to die. Washu is able to stop to stop the ship from destroying itself, and Ryo-oki captures Dr. Clay. Washu then says that in order to save Zero, she must assimilate with Ryoko. Ryoko regretfully agrees, and wonders when she will go back to normal now that she is able to express her true feelings for Tenchi.
