Trip to China on June 23, 2001 to July 7, 2001

Here I will tell everybody little about my trip to China. The trip is about three weeks. From June 23 to July 7, 2001. It’s 12 hours flight, it’s very a long trip. It’s my first time ever fly for this long hours. After this trip I have learned a lot of things. To me to say it’s a very meaningful because that’s where I belong to. God loves me that’s why He had given me a better quality of life. That is to bring me in to a new world. A complete strange place, a place everyone been dreaming for, the United States. I had a chance to went back there. Wait until today, it made myself grow stronger, more mature.

Week One In China:
When I just got there. My family was doing the funeral for my grandfather. I saw my uncle, aunts and my grandmother with a sadly faces. Specially my cousin Michael, he was so scare, he kept asking questions like, Is grandfather ok, is he going to go home later? Is he going to Canada with us. Like something is terrifying him. I was quiet for moment then walk to see my grandfather. I am here to see you for the last face, I said to myself. After we had pray for him, everyone went home. The next day, I couldn’t sleep over the night so I wait-up very early in the morning. Sat on the bed thought about this day, it’s been 11 years since I left this country. I missed this place, I missed the people here, I missed my old friends and family. I had a aunt from other town to see me. She’s my father’s youngest sister. She had come here to see me. She heard someone told her that I am coming to China. She is so happy to see me, and I am happy to see her too. I still remember everyone there, and the language. I had complete transform to another person. I worry-free about things over US. I had totally forgot where I was came from. She wants me to be happy over there so I will come back again next time.
We walked out the street after dinner on third day. The evening there is cool, although it’s hot doing the day, but you still can feel the cool wind blow on your face. It’s very crown on the block where there are lots of stores. Stores selling everything from inside to outside of street. I heard there are lots of thief, but I had come with prepared. Most of stuff I shop are clothes, lots of clothes are cheap. I bought few and we took the taxi home. Week over. My aunts went back home. I have two more week to spend here.

Week Two In China:
My aunt Ham (dad’s sis) wants to take me to Hu-Nin. That’s where my father’s mother live. We took to bus at 7:00PM and get there at 9:00AM in the morning. I was so happy when I got there. I am happy because I am going to see a lot of people here. I have friends, cousins, uncle and aunts. A lot people know me that I didn’t even know them. Back there my family was popular in the town. I was treated nice when I got into the house. Everyone is eager to see me. The happiest moment was I saw my grandmother. I am so lucky I can see her. Oh, my God she is old. Several days later, my friends came over to see me, I almost didn’t recognize all of them. Some already married, one already had a baby. I am so impress of him. He’s the hard working man. So my friends know that I don’t have much time, they want to send as much time as possible with me. Every morning they had come to my uncle’s house to take me out to play, to hand out. We went karaoke, shopping, swimming, and climb hill. It’s fun, it’s unforgettable moment. I can’t believe I have a chance to hand out with them again. When we were little, we always play with each other. I did everything together, but we did get to grow-up together. My family always moving to a bigger city when we had the money.

Week Three In China:
So days went by, the day for me to go home. To them I am going home, to me I had 3 more days to spend at Hong Kong. Everyone try to say good bye. They wish to keep me there, and kept asking me to come back again. I promised them if I have enough money I will. After that took bus to Kun-Min and flight to Hong Kong. People is everywhere, trains, buses and taxis fill with all people in. Every house is the same, every building is tall. Just like New York. I never been to New York, but I can imagine how is it. I have seen it on TV, and heard from books. I didn’t want to waste any more of money. So I didn’t buy anything in Hong Kong. My aunt bought some clothes for my mother and sister. My cousin Hao took me around with her black-friends. I called them black because they like black color. I had on everything is black then they go out with me. Black lipstick, shoe, shock, pant, and shirt. I like Hong Kong. People they are very hard worker. Everyone busy with making money, but they really know how to spend their money. Hong Kong people are smart, and style.

All I can say after the trip is I am very happy, I had a very good time. I have learned many things and seen many things. I thank God for what he is giving me. I thank him because of lots of things. I thank him for kept me safe after the trip, for made me happy, for gave me this chance, for gave me good food, for everything he has done to me. I am tire after all. When I got home I just want to go to sleep. included some pictures you may want to check that out. Ask me if you want to know more.
