Mine and Yours

I were born and brought up in Nagercoil, a town in the the southern tip of India. This place is around 16 Km from Cape Comrin (Kanya Kumari). This is a very friendly town, 75 Km from the Trivandrum Airport. This district is known for its serene and peaceful atmosphere and its higher literacy rate. I can imagine myself getting back there, after enough running and settling a retired life, the earliest possible.

I were born on 22nd July, 1979 and now I'm 26 years old. I'm a Catholic Christian and have faith and belief in Mother Mary of Mount Carmel. The photo you see above was taken a neat eight years back, now my hairline has gone a bit thin and I'd be a little different.

My father is a senior manager with Canara Bank and my mother is a home maker. I love my mother very much. I have a very wonderful sister. She got married recently after completing her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). My BIL is a Doc, with specialisation in radio diagnostics and is currently pursuing his Dip. NB in KG Hospitals, Coimbatore. My father and sister are best friends of mine.

My parents celebrated their Silver Jubilee in 2003. They had been together for 27 years and we celebrated it at Nagappattinam, where they came to after their marriage. We've also been to Veilankanni then.

I do have some good talents in me. I can sing and hum pretty well. I do write small poems both in tamil and english. I love listening to soft plain music. I am an addict to Yanni's plain soft music and the chores of Vangelis.

My favourite's are coding theory and information security. I completed my BE in ECE with the NI College of Engineering in 2000. In Feb 2004, I completed my MS (By Research) program with the Anna University. My thesis was in Space Time Block Codes and was submitted to the faculty of Information and Communication Engineering. My thesis defense was on Dec 14 and now I am free of that hangover. I like teaching, but I want to be do research based education, that can enable me live with newer techniques thro' my ages.

Since completion of my MS, I got associated with the Cryptography and Network Security (CNS) group of the AU-KBC Research center. Here I worked on Network Security related projects. Working in here moulded me a lot, both in leadership and technically.

In Jan, 2005 I joined the Centre of Excellence in Wireless Technology (CEWiT, India), currently housed within the EE Dept of IIT Madras, as a Junior Scientist. Here I work on next generation wireless technology problems (B3G/4G). I'm also planning to do my Ph.D parallely. Joining CEWiT was a major change from my previous career. But I am applying lot of ideas that I brood over with earlier. The environment so far is encouraging and helping and hope to have a longer committment over in there.

My ambition in life is to become a research scientist with some top research lab in India or Europe. The will is there, just looking for ways to do them. If I can just stay in solid grounds, I'll be reaching to it.

I play cricket and shuttle. I am not a big hitter of the ball, but I'm a opening batsman. The reason is, the chances of me hitting a boundary are more than me getting out in it. I ocassionally bowl too, I don't take tricky wickets but can control the run rate quite well. I am a pinch hitter in shuttle, I am famous in it for the tricky services and the quick reflexes.

I have a lot of weak points in me, I haven't yet learn't to control my emotions. I often remain stubborn and tough going with terms I feel not to comply with. In tough times, I take things for granted and do what the heart speaks of than consulting the head. I like accepting challenges in life for its inherent nature. What I can't withstand is a failure and a mistrust.

I can't withstand too much cold which can make me go out of control. My computer is my friend, companion and reliable partner as it is of now. To me nothing is impossible in life, until my lord doesn't wants me do that.

I liked these wordings for no reasons:

I know that out there somewhere ...
She waits for me
Someone who's searching ...
Just like me

I often say to myself words of Robert Frost:

The woods are lovely dark and deep
But I have promises to keep
And are miles to go before I sleep
And miles to go before I sleep

We didn't get exactly that sort of person we needed, But we believed that this guy can really do something
