Verminate by Downthroat

Ok, for the first few songs I hear some brutal, helicopter-sounding metal with the blast beats and fast strumming and growling. Yet it seems like these guys mix things up. After a few songs all of a sudden the band just changes into Russ Freeman and the Rippingtons! Talk about mixing it up! The smooth jazz lasts for only one song. Perplexed I then realize upon closer inspection that the lyrics are really off the wall, the song titles are just as fucked: "Open Chest with Fruit Salad", "Convulse gastric haemorrhage with eggs," "Blood, Guts, and Ice Cream." And the songs start going off in a variety of different musical directions and sound clips to my amusement. Is it art? Or just fun? Its like Sigh or Hollenthon going Primus. Perhaps Mike Patton will like this stuff.
