Second or third(?) album from technical though insane band Darkane. Their previous Rusted Angel was a 90s-thrash/death type of metal and now they are in a new direction. Of note, their drummer is probably juiced up because these drums are inhumanly wild. Also their new singer displays an inhuman array of voices from a barking commando to alien harmonies to tonsil-searing screams and punk yells. From song to song there is something different as well exemplifying the types of metal found over and under ground. Insanity is probably the band’s test pilot into Modern day metal sans the freshly matured yelps and suburban raps of the glamorous corporate teens. Unfortunately half of the album is convincing.
