saliva > every six seconds

Yes, I am talking about that American band Saliva and their album Every Six Seconds. Probably they are trying to catch the wave of American Nu metal but are just treading water. Too bad because I think their brand of modern hard rock is quite decent. Perhaps a decade or so from now AOR fans will pick this album from the haystack. Saliva hail from Nashville and from what I've read, they've come from a more musical background than your average LA rags to riches story. Every Six Seconds has the few radio hits but up and down the songs are quite catchy and cool. The singer has the melodic and gritty style. They even through a neat guitar solo here and there. I say AOR because to me they seem more of the hard rock, Stone Temple Pilots school and only touch on Linkin Park and Kid Rock oh so briefly with some of the vocal effects in a few songs. So you can deduce that the album does not reach too far in extremes and plays it safe for a wider audience's taste.

Score 3/5
