VioletReflections Bingo

1. Choose 15 of the varieties and include them on your “bingo card”. When making your picks, you only need to submit the name of the variety. You may include the description but it is not needed. It is suggested you number your picks 1 - 15 to help decrease errors.

2. Check your cards for errors before submitting!! No one else will read your card until & unless you post BINGO. Cards found to have errors when checked for bingo will unfortunately be disqualified. .

3. All VR Bingo Cards must be sent to the Bingo Coordinator before midnight on the last day of each month preceding the game. If a card is sent to the game Caller or Sponsor the card will be disqualified.

4. Do not send your newly made up card to the list. Sending it to the list will disqualify your card and you will have to make up another.

5. Your bingo card submission MUST include the following or your card will be returned for resubmission (deadline still applies):

a. Player’s Full Name in the Subject Line of the email. (Ex: "September Bingo - Susie Smith")

b. Player’s postal mailing address MUST be included inside the email, above your picks.

6. Only one card per VR member will be allowed. Multiple submissions by any member using various postal or e-mail addresses will be considered cheating and result in disqualification from the current game and could also cause you to be permanently banned from the game and/or the group!

7. If your bingo card meets submission criteria then the Bingo Coordinator will send you an e-mail verifying that your VR Bingo Card was received (normally within 24 hours). If you do not receive this e-mail contact the Bingo Coordinator promptly.

8. If your card does not meet submission criteria it will be returned to you with a brief explanation and you will have to resubmit your card by the deadline.

9. Any player who will be without Internet access (vacation, moving, computer repairs, etc.) can ask another member of the group, excluding only the Sponsor and Caller, to ‘watch’ their bingo card.

10. There will only be one bingo winner per month. Occasionally a Sponsor is nice enough to offer runner up prizes but it is not expected.

11. If a game is tied by two or more people, the Bingo Caller for the month will draw a name from the group of winners. The name drawn will be the final winner for that month.

12. The last violet name called must be the winning name on your bingo card.

13. You have to call bingo before the next name is posted or within 24 hours which

14. When you have bingo please post it to the Violet Reflection list  with "I HAVE BINGO - (your name)" in the subject line. Do not reply to the bingo pick of the day or to other Bingo-related posts. Doing so may result in your winning Bingo being overlooked. The Bingo Coordinator will verify your bingo card and will announce to the list your winning bingo.

15. The winner of each game is responsible for all postage/shipping costs. The prize will not be mailed until postage is received from the winner.

16. We will play all year. All African violet leaves/plants will be shipped when weather permits and as arranged by the Sponsor and the Winner.

17. Bingo Prizes may vary. The game may be for leaves and/or an alternate prize. Either way, this will be posted with the list of choices.

a. If it is a LEAF PRIZE game, it will be posted with the list & you will win only the leaves on your bingo card (unless otherwise indicated). Make your picks carefully.

b. If it is an ALTERNATE PRIZE game, the prize description will be posted with the list of 35 various AV’s. Alternate prizes may include potting supplies or any other AV related materials.

18. During the course of the game, it is quite alright to post to the group to say you need 2 more, or compare notes with other members on how you’re doing, but disclosing any part of a variety name, hybridizer, or other "hints" will cause the card to be immediately disqualified. Likewise, any private contact with the Sponsor or Caller regarding the game in progress will result in disqualification of your entry.

19. The Violet Reflections management will have the final authority regarding any issues that arise.

20. The general Violet Reflections Group Rules apply to all games and players.

21. If there are any questions, concerns or suggestions please contact The Bingo Coordinator. Do not contact the Sponsor or the Caller for the game.
