My mom translated the interview of Nao Takagi and Yuhka Asami that is featured in Hyper Hobby Vol 26. Please do not use any of this interview without giving proper credit for the translation. It was not easy convincing my mom to do this. She thinks that I am weird for liking such things. [] means that I don't understand or can't read my mom's handwriting.

Hyper Hobby: Tell me about your road show
Yuhka: When we performed in Osaka, my friends came to see my performance so I was really encouraged and excited by their presence.
Nao We performed very serious though.
Yuhka: We really enjoyed performing.
Nao: When we went to Nagoya, my family came to see us which made me very happy. We danced and sang to the best of our ablilities.
Hyper Hobby: Did you make any mistakes out of excitement?
Yuhka: In Nagoya, at the finale of "FIRE" I slipped but I fell so smoothly that I didn't even get bruised.
Nao: The other day in Tokyo, I was playing the dying scene so seriously, I realized that I broke my Space Sword. The place I put my finger separated but it is all fixed nicely by the toolman.
Hyper Hobby:In reguards to the current performances, there is controversy among the fans.
Nao:Since we were performing "Last Dracula" I understand the controversy. I found it hard to perform that play. I read the script several times. I did not understand the script and asked the producer. Don't you feel bad if you don't understand evil character? I don't want to perform the character I don't understand. I asked the questions and read the books about Dracula
Yuhka:First you practice your part separate then we put different parts together. I found it interesting to find out the bad characters.
Nao: Right. It's not easy to perform the bad character. I was facinated by this script. Now I am interested in [Jean Dalk]. Everybody is now saying that they want to go to Transylvania
Yuhka: Dracula Castle too.
Hyper Hobby: could you tell me about Uranus, Neptune and character debut?
Nao: When I perform Haruka, I bring out masculinity, but in character of a fighter. I try to bring out femininity as Uranus. I try to separate the two characters. Even though she uses man's words like "oi" and "boku" Uranus is a girl, that is where Uranus' charm comes from. When I was watching the last fhow of the first stage "Eternal Legend", I was telling myself that if I ever have the chance to perform this play, I want to play the Sailor Senshi with the blonde hair. Then I got that chance. I read all the original books on Sailor Moon and watched all the anime. I studied dancing and singing since childhood. I never performed before. On stage you can get real responses from audience. That is very exciting. I was very young then.
Yuhka: You are still very young. (laughs)
Nao: I want to keep performing. Sanae-san(first Uranus) was wonderful. I want to make the character Nao Uranus. As long as they let my play the part, I want to make the character to perfection, but I want to play with Yuhka as my opposite character because some of the scenes were created for the two of us.
Yuhka:Right(laughs). (looking at each other) I didn't know anything about Sailor Moon when I was given a part. I bought the original books and watched the anime and realized the depth of the characters. When I heard Sailor Moon will come to the theater I thought it's impossible to wear the costume of Sailor Moon watching the animation. Now I am alive wearing the costume. The more you play Neptune, you become more of that character. I repeat the character-you are really feminine but at the same time you are very strong. I really admire that kind of woman. First I tried hard to become the character but it did not work... I started analyzing the character on my own and put myself into it. I found it easier to play Neptune. Probably it will be a little bit different from the original book.
Nao:Hmmm... I didn't hear that before
Yuhka:(smiles)
Hyper Hobby:How about you two when you are not performing?
Yuhka: We are always together.
Nao:When we realize we are next to each other.
Yuhka: Really.
Nao: We are like Haruka and Michiru.
Yuhka: Very close! Always here is Michiru.
Nao: Just like a puppy.
Yuhka: Puppy?
Nao: If you compare Uranus with Neptune, we are opposite. Yuhka is straight forward and cool. Nao is indecisive and more feminine.
Yuhka: Opposite!
Nao:We were told by a producer that if our personalities are opposite of what we are, we are perfectly fit for the characters we play.
Yuhka:Shall we change our parts? I want to play Uranus! (laughs)
Nao:Opposite Seramyu, huh?
Hyper Hobby:Why don't you change costumes in the October "Fan Kan"?
Nao:The costume may not fit me.
Yuhka: How do I look as a blonde?
Hyper Hobby: For the last, please say something to the readers of "Hyper Hobby"
Nao:The animation repeat started on TV. I wish you all can enjoy musical Sailor Moon on stage. Please come and see us.
Yuhka:Even if you have never seen Sailor Moon, you can enjoy singing and dancing. You all come and see us.
