Que Sera Seramyu
by Haruka
Disclaimer: This is just for FUN. I am not trying to disrespect the people named in this fic in any
way I always write about those I love most, so when I write, it is with good intentions. There
will be yuri situations here, so if that kind of thing offends you, don't read any further.
Note: This is an 'alternate universe' fic (meaning don't expect things to be as they are in real life
I don't know Japanese so I can't make the characters speak in Japanese, etc.) It takes place
during the making/performing of a non-existent Seramyu show comprised of people/characters
my Michiru and I like best. Not all the recurring characters in Seramyu will be represented
there are too many to give them equal time. The show I have in mind includes both the Amazon
Trio and Starlights as characters and focuses on Uranus and Neptune rather than Sailor Moon and
the inner senshi (the inner senshi may not even be in it, although Sailor Moon is. I haven't
decided yet.)
Update: After not having worked on this fic beyond the sixth chapter for a long time, I've
decided to pick it up again and continue it with the help of my friend Amidala, who will be
writing alternating chapters with me.

Part 1 - The Challenge
Nao Takagi flopped onto her back on the stage. "I am not moving from this spot," she
gasped out.
Her co-star, Yuhka Asami shrugged and stepped over her, using Nao's stomach as a
stepping stone along the way.
"Oof!" Nao protested, wrapping her arms around her middle while the others onstage
laughed. "What was that for?"
"Your stomach was where I wanted to walk," Yuhka said sweetly, then shrieked as Nao
leapt up and pursued her off the stage.
"I thought she wasn't moving from that spot," remarked Tae Kimura with a wry grin.
Hikari Ono laughed as she watched Yuhka try to outdistance Nao despite the latter's long
dancer's legs. "Any excuse to grab Yuhka, you know that."
"And Yuhka encourages her," piped up Momoko Okuyama with a shrug. "But why not? If
Nao wanted to grab me, I wouldn't punch her in the face."
"If _anybody_ wanted to grab you-mmmph!" Sayuri Katayama's joke was cut off by
Momoko stuffing a muffin into her mouth. "Mmm mmmph mmm!"
"That's telling her, Sayuri," Rei Saito smiled. "I'm sure she is enlightened by
your wisdom in this matter."
"Oh, absolutely," Momoko nodded agreement. "Jump Nao's bones you say, Sayuri?
Why yes, I should do that! And tell her it was all your idea!"
"Mmm! Nnn-hmmm!"
"Oh, you'd rather jump her _yourself_? Why, Sayuri Katayama! I never knew!"
Off to one side of the stage, Marina Kurogi smiled distractedly at the exchange. Her focus
was actually on the script in her hands. She was to be Sailor Moon in the newest live-action
Seramyu, one which would change the focus of the shows and give them a whole new
perspective. She was honoured to be a part of it all, but anxious as well. The others were all so
much more experienced than she! "I don't know how I'm going to get these lines down in
time," she remarked softly.
"We're not working on lines right now, we're working on the dancing and songs," Tae
said simply. "Don't worry about it yet. It'll come when you need it."
A male throat cleared and the only man in the room stretched as he got up from where
he'd been perched on the edge of the stage. "Yes, Marina, don't worry. We realize you're still a
newcomer, but the lines are easy enough to learn. After all, I know mine already."
Nao skidded to a stop in front of Ryuji Kasahara, allowing Yuhka to sprint out of range.
"_What_ did you say?"
"You heard me," Ryuji said. "Why do you look so surprised, Nao? Don't _you_ know
your lines yet? Marina can be understood, she's new to all this, but you have no such excuses."
Nao folded her arms, cocking her hip as she gave him a withering stare. "I don't believe
it," she said frankly.
Ryuji put a hand to his chest and staggered backwards. "You accuse me of deception?"
"I accuse you of lying, fibbing, untruth-telling ... stop me anytime." Nao grinned.
"She's got your number, Ryuji," Hikari chuckled.
"Is that so?" he sniffed. "I guess we'll see when we run lines tomorrow afternoon, won't
we?" He gave an elegant bow. "Later, ladies."
The others watched him leave and Nao shook her head.
"There is no _way_ he knows all his lines already. We've only had the scripts for two
days!"
Hikari leaned down from the stage to ruffle Nao's hair. "Too bad you can't prove it,
huh?"
Nao caught Hikari's hand and grinned up at her mischievously. "Don't be so sure."
