Do I think Jr. will be in the #8 next season? Hell yeah I do, he better stay where he can get a ride. I take that back, owners would be a fool not to want one of the biggest names in NASCAR. As far as races run, he hasnt shown any more skill than alot of newer drivers that have been there as long as he has. Example, the most obvious of course, Matt Kennseth. Matt won Rookie of the year the year he joined NASCAR's premier series. Also in that Rookie class was Dale Jr. Matt has won a Championship since he has been there. True, Jr. has had some setbacks since coming onto the scene, losing your father has got to set you back, I know it would me, and don't get me wrong, Dale Sr. was one of the best to ever sit behind a wheel. I'll be the first to say that, he was a great man. I will also say that so was Petty and Pearson. One of these days after he retires, Gordon will be put in the same company, but name me one thing that makes Jr. so special other than the fact that he is Dale Sr.'s son. I geuss that is what has always amused me. I mean hell, Kyle Petty was Richard's son, did he get that kinda coverage for that long? True, NASCAR has become more commercial since then, but still other than when Kyle had a shot a the championship he wasnt in the news a fraction of the time that Jr. has been. I geuss its just a sign of the times.
Budweiser also plays a big part in Jr.'s career. It is probably the best selling beer in America, maybe the world, alot of people root for Jr. because he drives for them.
